System Information

The System Information section in CompressX provides detailed environment and diagnostic data to help identify configuration issues, verify server capabilities, and streamline support troubleshooting. This section is especially useful when diagnosing image processing problems, compatibility issues, or performance concerns.

Accessing System Information

  • 1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  • 2. Navigate to CompressX → Logs & System Information.
  • 3. Locate the System Information section at the top of the page.

System Information Overview

The System Information panel is divided into four key sections:

  • 1. Environment
  • 2. Image Libraries
  • 3. Resources
  • 4. WordPress Setup

Each section displays real-time status indicators to help you quickly verify whether your server meets CompressX requirements.

Environment

This section displays your server and runtime configuration.
Information provided:

  • 1. Server – Web server software and version (e.g., Apache with OS details)
  • 2. WordPress – Installed WordPress version
  • 3. PHP – Current PHP version and compatibility status
  • 4. Home URL – Website home URL used by WordPress

Status indicators:

  • 1. OK indicates the configuration is compatible with CompressX.
  • 2. Missing or incompatible values may affect plugin functionality.

Image Libraries

This section confirms whether required image processing libraries are available on your server.
Supported libraries:

  • 1. GD Extension
  • 2. Imagick

Supported formats:

  • 1. WebP
  • 2. AVIF

Status meanings:

  • 1. Installed / Active – The image library is available and usable.
  • 2. Supported – The format is supported by the corresponding image library.
Note
For optimal results, at least one image library (GD or Imagick) must support WebP or AVIF.

Resources

This section shows current memory usage and limits.
Displayed metrics:

  • 1. Memory Current
  • 2. Memory Peak
  • 3. Memory Limit

WordPress Setup

This section summarizes key WordPress configuration details relevant to CompressX.
Details include:

  • 1. Theme – Active WordPress theme
  • 2. Plugins – Total number of installed plugins
  • 3. Rewrite Rules – Confirms whether WordPress rewrite rules are functioning correctly

Status indicators:

  • 1. Success / OK indicates the WordPress environment is correctly configured.
  • 2. Rewrite rule issues may prevent optimized images from loading correctly.

System Information

Sending Debug Information

If you encounter issues, CompressX allows you to send diagnostic data directly to the support team.

Method 1: Send Debug Info via Email (Recommended)

Use this method if SMTP is configured on your website.

  • 1. Enter Your Email Address.
  • 2. Describe the issue in the Problem Description field.
  • 3. Click Send Debug Information.

You will be notified once the issue is resolved.

Method 2: Download Debug File (Alternative)

Use this method if SMTP is not available.

  • 1. Click Download Debug File.
  • 2. The file will include system information and error logs.
  • 3. Send the downloaded file to CompressX support manually.

What Debug Information Includes

  • 2. WordPress configuration
  • 3. Image library availability
  • 4. Error logs related to CompressX operations
Note
Debug data is used strictly for troubleshooting and is handled securely.

When to Use System Information

  • 1. Images fail to convert to WebP or AVIF.
  • 2. Bulk optimization does not start or stops unexpectedly.
  • 3. CDN or rewrite rules are not working.
  • 4. Other technical issues have arisen.
Recommendations
1. Review System Information after server migrations.
2. Verify image library support before enabling modern formats.
3. Include debug info when contacting support to reduce resolution time.
