Accessing the Statistics Page
- 1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- 2. In the left-hand menu, click CompressX.
- 3. From the CompressX submenu, select Statistics.

You will see a summary section at the top, followed by a detailed image usage breakdown.
Section 1: Performance Summary Overview
At the top of the page, CompressX displays a high-level summary of your image optimization results.

- 1. JPEG / PNG Size
Displays the total size of original JPEG and PNG images.
Shows the number of files included in the calculation.
Provides a baseline for comparing optimization results. - 2. WebP Size
Displays the total size of generated WebP images.
Shows the number of WebP files.
Helps evaluate storage reduction when using WebP format. - 3. AVIF Size
Displays the total size of generated AVIF images.
Shows the number of AVIF files.
Demonstrates additional savings achieved with AVIF format. - 4. Average Savings
Displays the overall percentage of size reduction.
Includes separate savings percentages for: WebP and AVIF.
Summarizes the overall effectiveness of image optimization.
Section 2: Image Usage Breakdown Table
The Image Usage Breakdown table provides a detailed view of optimization results by image usage type.
Table Columns Explained
Usage Type
Indicates where the image is used on your site, such as:
- 1. Site logo
- 2. Header background image
- 3. Featured image (Post / Page)
- 4. WooCommerce product images
- 5. Uncategorized images
- 6. Orphaned images
Total Images
Shows the total number of images detected for each usage type.
Compression Level (WebP/AVIF)
Displays the compression quality settings applied:
- 1. First value: WebP compression level
- 2. Second value: AVIF compression level
- 3. Helps verify that the intended compression settings are being applied.
Total Size (WebP/AVIF)
Shows the total optimized image size for:
- 1. WebP format
- 2. AVIF format
- 3. Allows comparison of storage usage between formats.
Avg. Savings
Displays the average size reduction percentage:
- 1. First value: <strong”>WebP savings
- 2. Second value: AVIF savings
- 3. Indicates how effective compression is for each image category.
Special Image Categories
Uncategorized Images
- 1. Images that do not match predefined WordPress usage types
- 2. Often include custom or externally referenced images
Orphaned Images
- 1. Images that exist in the media library but are not referenced anywhere on the site
- 2. Optimization data may show as N/A if not processed
Section 3: How to Use This Page Effectively
- 1. Use the summary section to quickly assess overall performance.
- 2. Review the Image Usage Breakdown to identify which image types benefit most from optimization.
- 3. Compare WebP vs AVIF savings to decide which format to prioritize.
- 4. Monitor changes over time after adjusting compression settings.
1. Statistics are updated based on completed optimization tasks.
2. Some image categories may show zero values if no images exist or optimization has not been performed.
3. Savings percentages depend on original image size and format.
