What is Watermark?
Watermark allows you to add a visible logo or mark to your images to protect ownership and reinforce branding.
CompressX supports adding watermarks in bulk, as well as manually applying watermarks to individual images in the Media Library. Watermarks are applied to original PNG and JPG images, as well as generated WebP and AVIF versions (if enabled).
Watermarking is optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time.
Is it safe to use?
Yes. Watermarking in CompressX pro is designed to be safe and non-destructive.
- Original uploaded images are not permanently modified.
- Watermarks are applied only to generated images by CompressX pro, such as Webp or AVIF versions.
- You can remove unwanted watermarks by regenerating thumbnails.
- You can change watermark settings or disable watermarking at any time.
This means you stay in full control of your images, even after watermarking is enabled.
Quick Start (Bulk Watermarking)
If this is your first time using Watermark, follow the steps below for a safe and common setup.
1. Access the Watermark Page
Go to the Toolkit from the main menu, then click Configure to open the Watermark page.

You can enable the toggle to display the Watermark link directly in the main menu for quicker access.
2. Upload Your Watermark
Upload your watermark image.

A PNG image with a transparent background is recommended for best results.
You can preview how the watermark looks and where it will appear on images before applying it.
3. Configure Watermark Settings
In most cases, the default settings work well and do not need adjustment.
If you need fine-tuning, you can adjust the watermark appearance using the available configuration options shown in the interface.

4. (Optional) Mark Newly Uploaded Images
You can choose whether to enable watermarking for newly uploaded images.
When this option is enabled, new uploads will be marked as pending watermark.
You can later apply watermarks to these images using the “Marked newly uploaded images” bulk processing option.
5. Select Image Sizes for Watermarking
By default, there is no need to change image size settings.
Only modify this section if you have specific requirements for applying watermarks to certain image sizes.
6. Apply Watermark Using Bulk Processing
Choose the appropriate Bulk Watermarking option, then click Start Bulk Processing to apply watermarks.
The process runs automatically and requires no additional steps.

Manual Watermarking
CompressX Pro also supports manual watermarking for individual images.
You can open the Media Library, select a specific image, and choose Apply Watermark to add/remove a watermark only to that image.

This option is useful when you want to watermark selected images without using bulk processing.
Manual watermarking uses the current watermark settings.
Before applying manual watermarking, make sure the watermark has already been configured and uploaded in Quick Start (Bulk Watermarking) – Step 2.
